Mary Rose Duffey

Mary Rose "Mimi" Duffey, a resident of Westwood, Massachusetts, passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2025 in Boston, Massachusetts. She was 67 years old. Mimi was born on April 24, 1958 in Boston to Charles T. Duffey and Mary Rose (Furey) Duffey. Mimi grew up in Canton, and earned an Associate's degree in early childhood education from Massasoit Community College. Mimi enjoyed spending her free time doing volunteer work for her community. She spend most of her adult life caring for her family and home. Her loved ones had a special place in her heart, as well as her fondness for her golden retriever Riley. Mimi loved the color green, and surrounded herself with nature in her garden. Lilies were her favorite flower and she enjoyed baking, sewing, and all sorts of crafts. Before she lost her eyesight, one of Mimi's crafts was making jewelry. She was an avid New England sports fan with the Celtics being her favorite.

Mimi is survived by her daughter, Caitlyn Carter, and her husband Matt of Derry, New Hampshire. Mimi is also survived by her siblings, Tracy Duffey Finstein, and Brian Duffey and his wife Kate Duffey, as well as her grandchildren, Braydon and Mason. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. There will be a funeral Mass on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at Saint Margaret Mary Church at 845 High Street, Westwood, MA 02090, at 10:00 am. Later the same day, there will be a burial at Saint Mary's Cemetery at Meeting House Lane, Scituate, MA 02066, at 1:30 pm.
