Michael Santos of Westwood, Massachusetts died peacefully on July 11 at the age of 73. He is survived by his beloved life-long partner Jessie Turbayne, her son, Rob Petta, wife, Molly Cox, their sons, Maxwell and Lucas Petta and brother-in-law Jamie Turbayne, as well as many friends and business associates. His life was spent in the construction world specializing in the restoration of antique and historical homes and buildings in Weston, Carlisle, Westwood, Medway, Marblehead, Needham, and throughout Boston. During retirement years he was shop foreman for HUB Grinding in Walpole.
Michael was a licensed auctioneer and frequently donated his time and talents to such philanthropic organizations as the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston. He served as Commander of the Greater Blue Hill Sail and Power Squadron, a volunteer organization that, in conjunction with the US Coast Guard, promotes boating safety. Michael was a past President of the Eastern Mass Corvette Club and enjoyed competing in car shows, cruising, and participating in charitable events the Club sponsored.
At Michael’s request, no funeral service will be held. Donations in his memory may be made to Boston Children’s Hospital.
