Patricia (Bennett) Cosimi, a former FHV resident, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on October 4, 2025. Patricia (Pat) was born in 1941 in Baltimore, Maryland and completed a BS in nursing at Johns Hopkins Medical Center. She moved to Boston in 1967 where she assumed the role of head nurse of emergency services at Massachusetts General Hospital. It was there that she met a surgical resident named Ben Cosimi, who would go on to become her husband of 58 years. After taking time off to raise their family, Pat resumed her nursing career; initially in the Weston Public School system and then as head nurse at the Cambridge School of Weston. Pat humbly served as a caregiver to both her family and the hundreds of students who visited her office for medical care or just a chat and encouragement. Her children regularly heard from classmates who considered her office a place to find comfort and a kind ear.

Pat was also an artist. She found joy in creating beauty through her love of painting, gardening and flower arrangements. She brought her passions for gardening and art to the community through years volunteering in the Weston Creative Arts Council, Weston Garden Club, and eventually to the flower team at the Museum of Fine Arts culminating in the annual Art in Bloom events.

Nothing brought Pat more joy than caring for her family, raising her children and doting over her grandchildren. Pat is survived and very much missed by her husband Ben and their three children, Lisa Cosimi Miller (Scott N. Miller), of Lexington, Gregg Cosimi (Nancy Cosimi), of Weston, and Beth Cosimi Macdonald (James Macdonald), of Watertown, and five grandchildren, Grant, Avery, Caleb, Sydney and Maren, as well as her brother Mike Bennet of Westminister, Maryland.  She was also the sister of the late Pam Bennett

A Memorial Celebration of Patricia's life is being planned and will be announced here when it is finalized.  In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer's Association of Eastern Massachusetts, 320 Nevada Street, Suite 201, Newton, MA 02460 would be appreciated.
