Patricia Marie Sweeney

Patricia Marie (Capone) Sweeney, a resident of Norwood, died Thursday, June 26, 2025 at Newbridge on the Charles in Dedham.  She was 88.  Patricia was born May 27, 1937 in Boston, Massachusetts, the daughter of Alfred R. Sr and Carmella (Paduano) Capone. She graduated from Dedham High School with the Class of 1956 and worked as a bookkeeper for Mr. Donut, and later for Computer Identics, a pioneer in the field of barcode technology. Patricia enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles, and was a fan of the Boston Bruins. She was the wife of the late Edward G. Sweeney and the sister of the late Alfred R. Capone Jr.  Patricia is survived by her daughter, Lynne M. Foley of Dedham, and her granddaughter, Erin Foley, and her husband Alexander Doten, her niece NancyAnn Capone of Norwood, her stepdaughter Mary Sweeney of California, and her stepson Edward Sweeney of Dedham.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at 10:30 am at St. Mary's Church, 176 Washington Street, East Walpole.  Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery in Norwood.  In lieu of flowers donations to the American Lung Association of MA, 1661 Worcester Road, #301, Framingham, MA 01701 would be appreciated.
