Lois was a joy to behold and a wonder to embrace! She had an incredible thirst for life and loved to laugh and make other people laugh. We will miss her dearly, as will all the people who loved her. Bill and Stephen – she spoke about you both so much and loved to tell us what Avery and Caleb were up to. So glad she went on that trip to Australia.
Peace and love to Lois for a life well lived!
All our love to those who remain and loved her so much!

Billy, Stephen, Walsh’s, Hopes, family and friends- Dawn and I send our deepest sympathies and love to you all. We all have nothing but the greatest memories of Lois and the times spent at family gatherings. Dawn and I will always appreciate how quickly she and Dawn hit it off and was so welcoming to her at her first wedding (possibly traumatic for any stranger!) she will always be in our hearts. Love to all-

I am so very sorry to hear of Lois’ passing. She was such a wonderful colleague and friend and will be fondly remembered by those of us who were lucky enough to work with her. She loved sharing stories about her cherished family members.

Auntie Lois. My heart breaks today and tomorrow it will start mending with the great memories. Although different generations being only 11 years apart it seemed like we were in the same generation. From your babysitting me to my eventually babysitting for Jen and Steve. I still remember you taking me to the firehouse in Dedham when you caught me playing with matches at 8 years old. Although I moved out of state, I will always cherish the time we spent together and the monthly phone calls to keep up to date.

Two trips I keep close to my heart were skiing at Attitash in NH. I was injured on our 2nd day, and you told me if I wanted to see Uncle Bill get irritated just chew ice when I was sitting next to him. Eventually he came back into the room, and we all laughed. My 50th birthday in Costa Rica, where I showed you and the other 9 in our group around the country, is a wonderful memory that makes me smile every time I think of that trip and the fun we had. You’re now reunited with mom and Marcia.

The last few years haven’t been kind to you, but you pushed forward as far as you could, and you are now free of all the pain and health issues that you didn’t deserve. You had the biggest heart and dedication to your family. I will cherish your memory for the rest of my life, and I will miss you terribly. Thanks for being you, my aunt, and my friend. I love you.

I am so sorry to hear the news of Lois’ passing. She was the most generous, loving, unselfish caring person, and I am grateful for the times I spent getting to know her at Allin Church.
I loved hearing about the trips she was able to take, and the visits to Bristol with the grandchildren (and Stephen and Lindsey, of course!). I remember that the 4th of July parade was a special memory.
I am not able to be at the service, but my thoughts and prayers are with you all –

    Susan Akie
